Erika Blair is, according to her twitter, a sweetheart, a prom queen and some puppies. And she is a clever artist that uses the fetishization of the 1960’s Playboy Bunny and Playboy Bunny Clubs in contemporary American culture as an opportunity to investigate the basic roots of eroticism. By printing quotes from Club workers onto stockings, objects of desire and symbols of a past erotic, she allows the beholder to become enveloped in the discreet longing for a sensual nostalgia.

By closely examining memorabilia from the Clubs, outside of the original intended context, the viewer engages in both the fantasy and blatant reality of the Playboy Clubs.
