Black-haired Mediterranean Muse Shanoor and photographer Craig Morey collaborated a couple of times, playing with the classic subject of the naked, veiled woman. This shooting revives the Orientalist sex fantasy of the nude women wearing hijabs, a popular subject of erotic photographs at the beginning of the 20th. century. The hijab is most likely the most controversial female clothing, mandatory in parts of the Muslim society, prohibited in other parts of the world. The primary concept behind the hijab is that women shall not expose their hair (and/or face) in the presence of any male outside of their immediate family. There are several types of veils which cover the face in part or in full. Shanoor uses the scarf similar to the niqab, a garment that covers a woman’s upper body and face, except for her eyes. It is particularly associated with the style traditionally worn in the Arabian Peninsula, where the veil is attached by one side and covers the face only below the eyes, thereby allowing the eyes to be seen.

Like other religious based concepts (think Nunsploitation) the woman forced to wear a hijab has made it into erotic iconography. Not at least because, even without the sweet thrill of tickling a taboo, it is a highly arousing image to see a girl exposing her naked body and her shaved pussy while hiding behind a curtain of anonymity.
